Senior Frontend Developer (m/f/d)
You are a passionate frontend developer with at least 5 years of experience and are looking for a new challenge in a bright and motivated team with flat hierarchies? Then you've come to the right place! We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer who can professionally lead a team of 4-5 juniors in website and app development.
With our Purple publishing platform, we help magazine and news publishers succeed - by combining rock-solid in-house development, creative use of K-I and data applications with proven best-of-breed solutions. Our offering includes a headless CMS based on Gutenberg, a modular, state-of-the-art news app and website framework, and a suite of AI-powered newsroom automation and audience development tools.
Our customers range from medium-sized publishers to internationally active publishing groups - from Australia to the Zurich Oberland. TASKS
- Provide technical leadership to a 4-5 person team of junior developers who develop apps and websites
- Work closely with product management, UX/UI designers and other technical roles.
- Involvement in all parts of the development process - from envisioning, design, architecture and development to testing (together with our QA)
- Attention to the quality of the front-end code and all aspects of the development process
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed training as an IT specialist, completed studies in computer science, information technology or comparable IT training
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS/SCSS
- Very good knowledge of responsive design with CSS Grid and Flex
- Good knowledge of web standards and browser skills
- Ability to develop maintainable solution structures and architectures
- Very good written and oral English skills
- Nice to have: knowledge of design tools (Figma, Adobe XD) and design system concepts as well as knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles
