Purple Product News: Growing Partner Network, AI Workflows, Real Device Preview & More

In the fourth quarter of 2025, we developed Purple particularly in two areas: intelligent AI workflows and optimized editorial features. We also introduced our new partner integrations. The goal: publish faster, work more efficiently.

Growing Ecosystem for Modular Publishing Solutions

With Purple, we consistently pursue a best-of-breed approach: instead of proprietary siloed solutions, we have integrated the best available solutions for each application area. Our partner network enables you to flexibly integrate Purple into your existing infrastructure from print systems and DAM to analytics tools and paywall solutions.

Purple's modular architecture allows integration at various levels. You can use Purple as a complete end-to-end solution (Editorial + Experience), as a headless CMS with your own frontend systems (Editorial), or only as a frontend solution (Experience). For all scenarios, we offer a growing ecosystem of proven partner integrations.

For Purple Editorial, we have partners particularly in areas such as planning, digital asset management, print export, and API interfaces to third-party systems. For Purple Experience, our partner network includes numerous standardized integrations from entitlement & paywall providers to analytics solutions, consent management, and marketing tools.

In Q4, we also welcomed two new partners that enable professional community management and automated podcast creation:

Beat Squares enables automatic podcast creation from your existing articles. The integration automatically converts your texts into professionally sounding audio formats. This is ideal for publishers who want to distribute their content across additional channels without building additional production resources.

Ferret Go offers powerful community management tools with two core systems: Conversario and Engagedly. These help you strategically develop your readership, foster engagement, and build sustainable community relationships.

Purple Wires: Direct Access in the Editor

Purple Wires is now also available directly in the editor sidebar. You can search feed entries, filter by sources and authors, and insert them into your open article with one click. The best part: you don't even have to leave the editor.

The practical benefit: If you've created an article from Kordiam and want to use a wire feed entry as a basis, this now happens directly in the editor. This saves clicks and significantly accelerates your editorial process. The previous Wires menu remains unchanged.

Purple AI Prompts: Extended Functions

Our central prompt library receives three essential improvements that give you more flexibility and control:

Custom Fields as Prompt Target: You can now have all custom fields filled directly via prompt. If you've set up a custom field for push messages or specific SEO metadata, simply create a prompt with the type "Generate ACF Field" and select the corresponding field. You can also decide whether this prompt should be part of your "Finalize Article" action. The prompt then runs automatically in parallel with all other configured prompts.

HTML Mode for Structured Prompts: The new HTML mode gives the LLM access to the HTML structure of your content. For articles with fixed structure such as paragraph, title, video, quote, the model can recognize this and consider it in its edits. This is particularly valuable for complex prompt scenarios where not only text but also its position and context are relevant.

Latest LLM Models: All Purple Prompts now use the latest LLM versions. The performance and quality of AI-generated content improve noticeably as a result.

Purple AI Workflows: Automation with Editorial Control

AI Workflows were our most comprehensive Q4 innovation. They enable fully automated, AI-supported workflows for routine tasks, but always with final editorial control.

How it works: A workflow consists of three components: trigger (new email, periodic timer, editor action), AI agent workflow (LLMs, data sources, processing logic), and result in Purple Hub for editorial review. Purple offers a hosted workflow environment, but you can also connect your own workflow solutions such as n8N via webhooks.

Example workflows with external triggers:

Inbox Processing automatically processes press releases. An email with PM text and PDF attachment triggers a workflow that parses content and attachments, creates an article draft, performs an AI-based quality check, and imports the draft including score and evaluation into Purple.

Topic Discovery automatically monitors relevant topics. The workflow starts periodically (for example daily at 6 AM), searches defined sources such as RSS feeds, Perplexity, social media, or websites, clusters similar topics, evaluates their relevance according to your criteria, and creates a prioritized topic list in Purple Hub.

Example workflows with internal triggers:

You can also trigger workflows directly from Purple. Define automatic triggers in settings, such as a fact-checking workflow with every save operation. Or create manual triggers: a button in the editor that executes a specific workflow and displays the result directly.

Transparency through Execution Logs: Every workflow run is logged with workflow name, trigger, execution ID, status, and result. This enables complete traceability and easy debugging of your prompts.

Purple Experience Builder: Real Device Preview

You can now connect your device (iOS or Android) directly to the Experience Builder. All changes you make in the Builder are automatically transferred to your connected device in real time, eliminating manual upload steps. This accelerates the development process, especially when fine-tuning layouts and interactive elements.

Preview: These Two Features We're Currently Working On

Two major features are currently in development and will be rolled out in the coming months:

Admin Dashboard: Currently, Purple admin tools are distributed across various URLs and access points. The new Admin Dashboard will be a central entry point for all administrative functions from user management and import monitoring to Experience Builder and system status. The interface is exclusively for administrators within your organization, not for the editorial team. In the future, the dashboard will be individually customizable: you can prominently place your most-used tools and use the dashboard as a starting point for new modules such as user management or cost management. The goal is to make administrative tasks more efficient and bundle all relevant tools in one place.

Purple DAM (Comprehensive Overhaul): Our Digital Asset Management is receiving a fundamental modernization. The first iteration is already available on our demo system and brings significant performance improvements, a redesigned user interface, and optimized upload functions. Media management is now more aligned with the article overview and offers improved filter options. The next iteration will bring essential extensions: connection of external DAM systems, improved print file handling for high-resolution print files, automatic duplicate checks during upload, and image usage logic that shows which articles an image is used in. These features make Purple DAM a full-featured media management solution for media companies with more extensive asset libraries.

Further Improvements at a Glance

  • Performance optimizations in article overview for large datasets
  • UI improvements in Purple Hub for better clarity
  • Bug fixes for content synchronization in multilingual setups

The Q4 2025 release expands Purple with essential productivity features. AI Workflows in particular open up new possibilities for automating editorial routine tasks while maintaining full editorial control.
