Senior IT Project Manager (m/f/d)

About Purple
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager (m/f/d) for our Purple Projects department. The team consists of a Head of Projects and three project managers and works closely with the development department, which continuously advances our product Purple Publish.
We value working together in person and meet every Wednesday in our office opposite the KaDeWe in City West.
Your responsibilities
- As a Senior Project Manager (m/f/d) in the Projects team, you guide our customers from the media and publishing industry through the rollout of a powerful digital publishing platform. You understand business requirements as well as technical contexts and translate both into workable solutions.
- You take on responsibility as the central interface between customers, product, development and QA.
- You steer projects holistically and ensure transparent and reliable collaboration.
- You run requirements workshops, structure complex requirements and develop them into robust project and implementation concepts. In doing so, you keep both the product vision of Purple Publish and the individual goals of the customers in view.
- In day-to-day operations, you are responsible for planning, budgeting and steering the projects, from gathering requirements through agile implementation to go-live and beyond.
- You actively contribute your experience, coach less experienced colleagues, work with the team to advance our project management processes, and ensure that learnings from projects are anchored in the team for the long term.
Your experience
- You already have 5+ years of experience successfully delivering complex IT projects and steering project teams.
- Alternatively, you have conceived, launched and iteratively supported app/web products as a Product Owner.
- You can explain difficult contexts simply and clearly and identify solutions to challenging problems.
- You have experience with agile project methods and the relevant tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- You are also confident with the tools of the MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- You are at home in the digital world and have a strong affinity for the digital industry, both from the user's and the provider's perspective.
- You communicate precisely in speech and writing and can win others over to your ideas at a negotiation-ready level in both German and English.
That would be a plus:
- Ideally you have a technical background
- Ideally you have experience in UX prototyping and/or wireframing
What we offer you
- 86% recommendation rate and "Top Company 2024 Award" on Kununu
- Hybrid work: fully remote outside Berlin; for our Berlin team, up to 4 days home office per week possible.
- You are always welcome at the Berlin office at Wittenbergplatz. There you will find height-adjustable workstations, good coffee, cold soft drinks and free lunch (the latter on our shared team day).
- Fancy a change of scenery? 30 days of workation within the EU per year keep you geographically flexible.
- Flexible working hours make it easy to balance work and family.
- We offer (e-)bike leasing via JobRad or a monthly BVG/Deutschlandticket subscription with an employer contribution.
- Udemy, training courses, conference attendance and certifications. Individual training and development measures are a given for us and encouraged.
- Volleyball in summer, mulled wine tasting in winter or indoor surfing to celebrate a project's completion. With several team events per year, you have the chance to get to know your colleagues better. The highlight is our annual two-day summer retreat at changing offsite locations.
- Last but not least, and we hope you see it that way too: we are looking for a long-term collaboration and want to grow together with our team members.
