Purple strengthens management for continued growth with Adrian Gronwald as COO

Berlin, Germany / 13 January 2026 – Purple, a leading provider of digital-first CMS solutions for editorial teams, has appointed Adrian Gronwald as Chief Operating Officer (COO). With this newly created position, Gronwald joins founders Stephan Heck (CEO) and Benjamin Kolb (CTO) in Purple's management team.

As Head of Projects, Gronwald has played a pivotal role in building and scaling Purple's project operations over the past five years. Prior to joining Purple in 2021, he led complex app and backend projects at iApps Technologies, among others.

As COO, he will oversee Projects, Product, Solutions, Customer Success, Quality Assurance and Integration Partners. By consolidating these operational units under a single leadership, Purple is responding to strong growth and increasing demand. The aim of the new structure is to onboard new customers quickly and reliably while continuing to support existing customers at a consistently high level of quality – with clear end-to-end accountability across the entire customer journey.
