Purple strengthens strategic focus with new advisory board and announces leadership changes

Berlin, Germany / June 24, 2025 – Purple, a leading provider of digital-first CMS solutions for editorial teams, today announces the formation of a new advisory board. The strategic body will include Kevin Kallenbach and Peter Dyllick-Brenzinger after they step down from their current roles as Head of Sales and Head of Product & Engineering, respectively. At the same time, the company is adjusting its leadership structure.
By establishing the advisory board, Purple is creating an important instrument for the company’s ongoing strategic development. The board will contribute external expertise and many years of industry experience, meeting quarterly to address key strategic topics.
After several successful years at Purple, Kallenbach and Dyllick-Brenzinger will move into executive roles elsewhere. Kallenbach will leave on 31 July to become Managing Director at ferret-go, the company behind the community solution Conversario. Dyllick-Brenzinger will also depart on 31 July to become Co-Founder and Chief Product & Technology Officer at BeatSquares, an AI start-up that helps newsrooms repurpose existing content into new formats. Kevin Garre, currently responsible for Business Development at ppi Media, will succeed Kallenbach as Head of Sales.
Kevin Kallenbach, outgoing Head of Sales at Purple: “Purple is now a recognised force in digital publishing and I am grateful to have helped shape this success over the past five years. We have secured high-profile new clients, scaled the product and achieved sustainable growth. Being given the freedom to steer this journey was a significant vote of confidence. Leaving was a tough decision, but the opportunity to assume broader entrepreneurial responsibility is compelling. I am therefore delighted to continue supporting Purple strategically on the advisory board.”
Peter Dyllick-Brenzinger, outgoing Head of Product & Engineering at Purple: “It has been an amazing journey with a fantastic team. The chance to help shape the product vision of an AI journalism start-up as Co-Founder and CPTO is a unique opportunity that I am keen to seize. My thanks go to Stephan Heck and Benjamin Kolb for their trust, and to my team for their outstanding work. I will continue to follow and support Purple’s progress from the advisory board with great enthusiasm.”
Stephan Heck, CEO of Purple: “The new advisory board embeds continuity within change. Kevin and Peter will remain strategic sparring partners, while Kevin Garre brings fresh energy and expertise to our sales team. This blend of proven knowledge and new impulses makes Purple stronger for the long term.”
