Product News: Scheduled Actions, Rich Text Revisions & EXIF Search
With every release, we at Purple add new features, improvements and options to our digital publishing platform. With our latest releases, we have added exciting new features that are now available to you.
Scheduled Actions
Scheduled Actions enable you not only to automatically publish or unpublish an article at a specific point in time, as before — but also to define entire publishing and unpublishing chains. Ideal for seasonal campaigns, product launches or editorial plans with changing focal areas, or even timed SEO optimizations.
Why is that useful?
- Time savings: No manual intervention in the middle of the night or on weekends — publishing is automated.
- Predictable editorial work: You can prepare content for the long term and put it online or switch it off at the appropriate time.
- Clarity: In the “Upcoming Actions” section, you can see all planned releases and depublications at a glance.
If you have already stored publish or unpublish data for articles, this is automatically transferred to Scheduled Actions. All you need to do is make sure that an administrator has enabled the feature in Purple Hub.

rich-text revisions
With our new rich text revision feature Keep track of changes in your articles at any time. The formatted view of the changes appears next to the existing code view. As soon as an administrator has activated this feature for you, you can see which content has been added, removed or changed — highlighted in color and much easier to understand.
What do the revisions offer?
- Visual comparison: All changes are formatted as in the editor and are highlighted in color — so you can immediately see what has been added, deleted or edited.
- Easy approvals: Thanks to clearly marked changes, feedback and approval is possible without annoying version comparisons in separate tools.
- More transparency: Every edit is comprehensible, which is particularly useful for legally, technically or professionally sensitive content.
EXIF search in the media library
In addition, we have upgraded our media library and expanded the search function — EXIF fields are now indexed.
Why is that helpful?
- Faster hits: Search specifically for camera, recording date, or other metadata.
- Larger archives: With extensive image databases, a detailed metadata search is a real gain in efficiency.
- Re-index for older files: Images that have already been uploaded can be re-indexed so that they too can be integrated into the new search.
All newly uploaded files are automatically indexed, so you can directly benefit from advanced search options. For existing assets, our support is available to answer any questions you may have.
